Flute School is back with in-person lessons!
Because the flute is a gorgeous and versatile instrument, it might appear easy and effortless to master. However, like all great things and instruments, it takes real work and total dedication to be a successful flute player. As a beginner, it might take a while to get the knack for it. Weekly flute lessons combined with persistent effort are an answer to how to play the flute beautifully with ease.
One-on-one private music lessons are given once a week at a scheduled time at our Rancho Penasquitos studio. All the lessons are customized for each student’s needs.

Hi, I am Daniel Lee, founder and teacher at Flute-School.com and Flute School Online and Offline programs. I have been teaching flute for 18 years as well as performing extensively in Europe, Asia, and United States. As you might have guessed, I am passionate about playing the flute and learning the flute. I have a great passion for helping our flute students fulfilling their musical milestones and goals. Flute Lessons at Flute School is a physical realization of my teaching philosophy and style. I strongly believe that everyone can achieve their musical goal with right guidance if they have enough will and effort. I welcome all levels of flute students with various musical goals.
I am a classically trained flutist. I spent my youth in San Diego, California. I spent my youth playing flute, listening to music, being outside in a fantastic San Diego weather, and helping my parents in their shop. After my time in San Diego, I was fortunate enough to audition and get accepted into Hochschule fur Musik Dresden, a German music school where all of the student’s tuition is paid for by the German government. During my time in Germany, I got to study with world class flutists and got to perform over 300 times as a professional musician. Playing the flute has taken me all over the world.
I live in San Diego, California where I teach full time and perform extensively with my pianist wife, Yuju Lee. I provide in-depth, high quality online and offline flute lessons to flute students of all levels. Individuals and families who are looking for a high quality flute lesson where a teacher can clearly demonstrate by flute playing what is being discussed in flute lessons can find our lessons rewarding and informative.
I have many students who are realizing their musical potential and achieving their musical goal in their flute playing. They have been successful in various auditions such as county honor band, all southern honor band, and all state honor band. Some of them are various flute competition winners as well as scholarship recipients of various foundations.
I have a Konzert Examen degree in flute performance from a German University which is the highest possible attainable degree in Germany.
